Synopsis
Gustav J., almost 80 years old, grew up in a family with many children in the German-Lithuanian border region. He was a farm hand, a smith, and a sailor, was thrown into the confusions of two world wars, honoured as an activist at the Warnow ship yard and is now living in Bad Doberan with his wife. His children, three of them went to university, are no longer living at home. His unique personality and his report give a lively insight into a turbulent life.
