Synopsis
The architect famous for building the Stalinallee in Berlin is a posturer. Henselmann, a city person, defender of the industrial construction
method, describes his relationship to power. His long artistic development reminds one of episodes of German history: from the Villa Kenvin close to Montreux that established his architectural reputation, to the television tower in Berlin and the high-rise for Leipzig University. The 80-year-old
architect talks in a moody, sometimes cheerful way, but also combatively and occasionally supported by his wife, an instructive and amusing
witness of contemporary history.
